Frbiz.com reports Microsoft released free security software Security Essentials

Microsoft Tuesday released a free security software, Security Essentials (immediate download). Previously, Microsoft has 75000 users in June to release a test version of Security Essentials Beta.

Security Essentials was originally code-named "Morro", the software used to protect the PC against malicious software, computer viruses and spyware damage. Microsoft at the end of June 2009 to stop selling pay-security software suite Windows Live OneCare, then Morro replaced with Windows Live OneCare.

Microsoft says, Security Essentials is a low-bandwidth environment, or an ideal choice for low-power PC, its positioning is the core of the anti-malware capabilities, can provide users with essential protection measures, and does not over-occupy system resources.
